I International Workshop on Quality and Sustainable Vocational Training "Educate, train, employ"
The current context of neoliberal globalization, accentuated by rapid and astonishing technological advances and the international financial crisis, among other factors that have an unfavorable impact on educational systems, conditions the long-awaited achievement of a scientific-technological education with the capacity to acquire new knowledge constantly, so necessary to achieve access to decent employment. Unfortunately, the technological gap between the economic world in continuous transformation and educational systems continues to grow. This difference is even more noticeable between rich and poor countries. That is why, faced with this reality, international organizations such as UNESCO have stated that: "Good vocational training for employment lies in ensuring that young people have the relevant skills for a rapidly evolving labor market." In this sense, raising the quality of vocational training for employment is a priority for nations.
For this reason, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Cuba, through the National Directorate of Technical and Professional Education and the Meliá Habana Hotel, together with the Enrique José Varona University of Pedagogical Sciences, the Scientific Educational Exchange Company, the Agencies of the Central Administration of the State of the Republic of Cuba and the international organizations that accompany the country in the training of the qualified middle-level workforce, invite you to participate from November 26 to 28, 2024 in Havana, Cuba in the 1st International Workshop on quality and sustainable vocational training, under the "Educate, Train, Employ."
Objective
To share experiences on pedagogical and didactic strategies that contribute to the development of quality, inclusive and gender-sensitive vocational training, which allows young people access to decent employment and contributes to the sustainable development of nations.

Guidelines for presentation, submission and publication of papers
In-person: Traditional format.
Virtual: This will be used in plenary sessions, with a combination of synchronous and asynchronous sessions, allowing attendees to participate in real time or at their own pace. Likewise, electronic presentations and papers will be available to all workshop participants. A virtual discussion forum will be available to facilitate conversation, open to both in-person and remote participants.
Rules and requirements for submission of papers:
Each paper will have a maximum of three authors: name(s) and surname(s) (abbreviations and initials are not accepted), academic title or scientific degree, email.
Structure of the paper: title, author information, abstract in Spanish and English and up to 200 words, keywords in both languages, introduction, objectives, methods, results, conclusions, bibliography and appendices.
The maximum length is 10 pages, the font is Arial, size 12 points, justified text, letter size (8 ½ x 11 or 21.59 cm. x 27.94 cm.) margins 2.0 cm on each side, 1.5 line spacing and automatic spacing. The paper must be paginated. The title must not exceed 15 words and is written in bold capital letters.
The paper must solve a practical or theoretical problem and emphasize results and conclusions.
It must be sent in PDF format, together with the electronic presentation.

Interested applicants must submit their work through our website and electronic submission, before October 5, 2024
The Scientific Committee will review, evaluate and select the submitted works and will communicate said selection by means of a letter of acceptance signed by the president of the Scientific Committee and sent in digital format. Works that do not comply with the above rules will not be evaluated.
